In 2024, more than 90 thousand people underwent spa treatment in the sanatoriums of the Vitebsk region, of which 37.8% were foreign citizens.

Revenue from the export of services for 2024 is more than 60 million rubles.

80% of the foreign citizens who underwent spa treatment and health improvement without the use of budget financing, given the geographical location of the Vitebsk region, are citizens of the Russian Federation.

The owners of health resorts of the Vitebsk region are carrying out comprehensive work in many areas in order to increase the export of services and ensure the progressive development of the system of spa treatment and health improvement of the population.

One of the areas is strengthening the material and technical base and increasing the efficiency of its use. New buildings that meet the most modern requirements have been built and put into operation in the sanatoriums "Letzi" and "Zhemchuzhina", a SPA complex has been built and put into operation in "Plisse", cottages have been built and put into operation in the sanatorium "Lesnye Ozera".

Preliminary work has been completed on the construction of a swimming pool in the DROC "Vetraz".

Reconstruction of the dining room building of the DROC "Zhemchuzhina" is planned for 2025.

In 2024, health resorts spent about 10 million rubles of their own funds to strengthen the material and technical base.

Of the 11 sanatorium-resort organizations of the Vitebsk region, 6 organizations annually participate in the competition for the purchase of services for sanatorium-resort treatment of the population at the expense of budgetary funds.

In 2024, 184,354 vouchers were purchased at the expense of the republican budget and the extra-budgetary Social Protection Fund, for a total of about 190 million rubles.

According to the Main Health Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the number of people in need of spa treatment for medical reasons in 2024 was 91,594 people.

The total number of vouchers sold by the representative office in 2024 was 14,602 vouchers, according to which 14,811 people were treated, which is 16% of those treated from the total number of those in need.

A total of 3,648 veterans of labor and disabled people received spa treatment at the expense of the republican budget, which is 18.6% of those included in the lists of those in need, 3% more than in 2023.

Within the framework of the State Program for Overcoming the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster, 10 people were rehabilitated.

A total of 7,593 vouchers were sold and the following were rehabilitated from the social insurance budget and the republican budget:

- 4,727 children aged 3 to 18 years, which is 27.1% of the total number of children in the Vitebsk region in need of spa treatment;

- 3,064 working citizens.

In the Vitebsk region, over 76.0 thousand children were rehabilitated in various types of camps in 2024. During the off-season, over 31.3 thousand children were rehabilitated in day camps.

The volume of budget funds allocated to reduce the cost of vouchers to camps amounted to about 7.8 million rubles

There are 36 country health camps in the region, including 5 sports and health camps, 3 on a rented base, this is the highest figure in the republic.

In 2024, an additional health camp with round-the-clock stay was opened in the Postavy district on the basis of the Vetraz DROC.

In total, more than 5 million rubles were spent on the preparation of camps in the region, of which 1.5 million were budget funds.

There are 5 sports and health country camps in the Vitebsk region, which allows for the annual health improvement of about 1,400 athletes without interrupting the training process.

Work on spa treatment and health improvement of the population of the Vitebsk region will be continued.
