Results of work on health improvement and sanatorium-resort treatment of the population in the Mogilev region in 2024
27-February-2025In 2024, 90,840 people were rehabilitated in the Mogilev region at the expense of state funds, which is 2,434 people more than in 2023.

At the expense of state social insurance and the republican budget, through the commissions for health improvement and spa treatment of enterprises, organizations, 5,110 people from among employed citizens and their minor children were sent to spa treatment and health improvement, of which 2,715 were children free of charge, including 717 accompanied by an adult.
Particular attention was paid to the health improvement of the most socially vulnerable categories of citizens. First of all, these are children under the age of 18 who have been diagnosed with a disability.
In 2024, 352 disabled children were rehabilitated, which amounted to 107.0 percent of the level of those rehabilitated in 2023.
Also, free of charge, at the expense of the republican budget, vouchers for spa treatment were allocated on an out-of-turn basis to 12 disabled people and participants of the Great Patriotic War and those equal to them, and 975 unemployed disabled people of groups I and II, who have the right to priority provision of vouchers.
With partial payment of the cost of vouchers, 2,748 people were sent to spa organizations, from among unemployed veterans of labor and disabled people of group III, including 95 who are pensioners of law enforcement agencies.
Particular attention is paid to the health improvement of the population of the region affected by the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and above all, children living and studying in areas contaminated with radionuclides.
In 2024, 6,354 such children underwent spa treatment and health improvement in the region, including 166 preschool-age children accompanied by one of their parents. Also, 6 unemployed disabled persons of the II group (Article 18), victims of the Chernobyl disaster, were rehabilitated.

The region has ensured 100% coverage of sanatorium and resort treatment for children affected by the Chernobyl disaster who have appropriate medical indications.
Also, over the past year, 74,493 schoolchildren were rehabilitated in health camps.
Of the total number of the population of the Mogilev region rehabilitated using public funds in 2024, 92.5 percent were children.
During 2024, the availability of medical and health services was maintained in the sanatorium and resort organizations of the Mogilev region, which made it possible to ensure an increase in key performance indicators compared to 2023. They sold 47,858 vouchers, or 101.3 percent of the 2023 level.
Foreign citizens were sold 6437 vouchers or 103.1 percent.
The largest number of foreign citizens - 56.2 percent of the total number of those staying in the sanatoriums of the region visited the State Unitary Enterprise "Sanatorium named after V.I. Lenin" - 3620 people. Foreign citizens showed interest in all sanatoriums of the region, their growth was noted in almost each one.
Revenue from the sale of services by sanatoriums of the region for the year amounted to 41.3 million rubles or 102.6 percent compared to 2023. Growth was noted in every second health resort in the region.
Over the year, the occupancy rate in sanatoriums was 80.5 percent.

In 2024, 5.7 million rubles were allocated to strengthen the material and technical base of sanatoriums and health organizations. The largest amount of funds was allocated by the sanatoriums: "Sosny" of OJSC "Mogilevkhimvolokno", "Shinnik" of OJSC "Belshina", "Energetik" of the Mogilev Thermal Networks branch of RUE "Mogilevenergo".
All health resorts of the region are working to promote spa services by introducing discounts, promotions, additional advertising events, and introducing new types of services.
Tourism entities are actively involved in the sale of vouchers, with which 114 contracts have been concluded, including 19 new ones in 2024.
The introduction of new types of paid medical services for physiotherapy, carboxytherapy, cryotherapy, laser therapy, etc. contributed to the attraction of vacationers.
For vacationers in the sanatoriums of the Mogilev region, 91 routes have been developed in order to familiarize themselves with cultural and historical values and attractions.
