Celebration of National Unity Day of the Republic of Belarus at children's rehabilitation and health centers in the Gomel Region
22-September-2025On September 17, our country celebrates National Unity Day. This holiday is considered one of the newest in sovereign Belarus. It symbolizes the national, state, and territorial integrity of our state.
On this day, festive events were held at all health resorts in the Gomel Region, including children's rehabilitation and health centers that provide treatment for children affected by the Chernobyl disaster. Teachers and caregivers at the children's centers strived to make the events engaging and educational, conveying the essence of the holiday and its significance for the country. They told the children about the key events associated with National Unity Day, stories of heroism and national unity in difficult times, and shared their thoughts on how each of us can contribute to cohesion and mutual understanding in society. At the Ptich Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center, children demonstrated their knowledge in quizzes and quest games titled "Belarus – a Country of Unity."

In the lead-up to National Unity Day, staff from the Ptich Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center participated in the landscaping of a military cemetery in the village of Tremlya, Petrikov District.

The Sidelniki Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center hosted exciting events: an educational hour, a roundtable discussion, a quiz, a sports festival titled "Strength in Unity," and a festive concert titled "We Are Together!"

The Praleska Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center organized events under the theme "Unity of the People – Unity of the Country!", which were attended by all the children and their accompanying teachers.

The events held on this holiday are aimed at instilling in children a respectful attitude toward Belarus's historical past, fostering patriotism, and a willingness to act for the good of the Motherland.
