Results of the summer health improvement campaign in the Minsk region
30-September-2025The 2025 summer health campaign in the Minsk region was held as part of the national "Summer for Children!" campaign under the motto "May the sky above be peaceful, may the ringing laughter of childhood last forever," and the regional campaign "Holidays in the Minsk Region: Summer WITHOUT Danger."

During the summer, 1,029 educational, health, and sports camps operated in the region, where 63,921 students received health benefits.
There were 325 24-hour camps, which accommodated 25,323 students, including 99 fixed tent camps (2,654) and 121 mobile camps (2,524), respectively. There were 704 day educational and health camps operating at educational institutions, hosting 38,598 children, including 115 work and recreation camps, with 1,750 campers.
Camp sessions opened with ceremonial assemblies with the raising of the National Flag of the Republic of Belarus and the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus.
Considerable attention was paid to the civic and patriotic education of the younger generation. All camp programs included patriotic hours or dedicated entire days to telling children about heroes, the partisan past of their great-grandfathers, and famous fellow countrymen.

During the summer holidays, campers were actively involved in tourist and excursion activities,
including organized excursions. Campers from the permanent camps visited the BelExpo International Exhibition Center and the "Road to Victory" exhibition.

Promoting a healthy lifestyle is one of the priority areas of educational work with students. Physical education, health, and sports activities were held for the children: daily morning exercises, walks, and outdoor games, and they visited physical education and health centers and swimming pools.

To enhance engagement with the camps' active members, an informational and educational campaign, "Step to Success," was held. Meetings with representatives of various agencies, public organizations, and associations were organized.

The priority goal during the summer health campaign was to improve the health of children in privileged categories and those in socially vulnerable situations. Particular attention was paid to the rehabilitation of children with disabilities and children with special psychophysical development needs. A total of 1,515 children with disabilities were rehabilitated. In the Minsk region, 2,241 orphans and children left without parental care were rehabilitated.

To ensure sanitary and epidemiological safety, constant preventive monitoring of camp activities was conducted. A primary focus was on compliance with sanitary norms and regulations.
The regional stage of the national competition for the best camp is currently underway. The winners of the national competition will be announced in October.
