The grand opening of the new dormitory building of the State Unitary Enterprise «Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center «Svitanak»

On April 29, 2026, the grand opening of the new dormitory building of the Svitanak Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center in the Pinsk District took place.

The ceremony was attended by Natalia Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus; Petr Parkhomchik, Chairperson of the Brest Regional Executive Committee; Henadzi Balbatouski, Director of the Republican Center for Health and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population; members of the Presidium of the Council of the Republic; regional and district leadership; members of the Brest Region parliament; and heads of construction organizations.

The construction of the new 150-bed dormitory building was completed as part of the State Program for Overcoming the Consequences of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Disaster for 2021-2025. Construction began on December 27, 2023, with a total cost of 18,412,200 Belarusian rubles.

During the ceremony, Natalia Ivanovna and Petr Aleksandrovich presented certificates for valuable gifts for the development of the Center to V.G. Milenchuk, Director of the Svitanak Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center.

During the visit, officials and guests were introduced to the accommodations in the new building.

The new three-story dormitory building, shaped like a trefoil, consists of three blocks connected by a central hallway, accessed by the main staircases and elevator. The total floor area of the building is 5,501.23 m². The building has been landscaped with a green recreation area, playgrounds, and sports fields. The new building is connected to the main building of the health center by a walkway on the second floor. In addition to residential rooms, the building includes playrooms for children, a medical unit, and a dining room for individuals with disabilities.

The new building is fully accessible along the routes of individuals with disabilities. On the ground floor, there are double rooms for wheelchair users with appropriate layouts and a terrace with direct access to the street.
