In total, more than 43,000 children are planned to receive health improvement services in camps in the Gomel Region during the summer of 2026.

With the assistance of the Committee for Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, jobs have been created for children in work and recreation camps. The types of paid work performed by teenagers include landscaping school grounds, arranging and weeding flowerbeds and lawns, tending grain fields, forestry work, sewing bed linens, and more. 3,400 children were given the opportunity to rest and work.

Particular attention was paid to the health and wellness of children in need of individual support. Over two shifts, more than 1,600 children registered with the juvenile affairs inspectorate were able to improve their health at the camps. They are actively involved in the activities. These children receive individual work with a psychologist and social worker.

The health and wellness of boys and girls with disabilities is also emphasized at the camps, and the practice of providing health and wellness to orphans has continued. Over two shifts, more than 1,000 children with disabilities, including approximately 800 orphans, rested and improved their health at the camps.

The organization of children's health and wellness during the summer is carried out in accordance with the 2026 health campaign action plan, which includes activities on ideological, civic, and patriotic education.

The camps open in a ceremonial atmosphere with the raising of the National Flag and the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus.

At camps in the Gomel Region, children receive a comprehensive range of health services, experiences, and emotions.
